I've been bringing salad to work for lunch each day this week, and I've found that I really like a salad composed of baby spinach, green pepper, tomato, thinly sliced ham, and some sort of fruit. So far, I've had dried cherries, red seedless grapes, and dried cranberries. I top it all off with raspberry vinagrette dressing.
I'm trying to think of other fruit, either dried or regular, that would go well with this salad. I think the dried cherries were my favorite so far, but the red grapes were also a nice treat.
Do you ever put fruit in a normal salad? What kinds do you like? Any other ideas on how to make my salads tasty and varied?
