Finally got my delivery of Japanese ingredients from the asian supermarket in the city. Some of the packaging seems so strange…what looks like a hard plastic bottle feels like a water balloon to the touch and there are cute pictures of random smiling characters everywhere. Panko breadcrumbs, shichimi spice, mirin, dashi, pickled ginger and every type of noodle known to man. How exciting, I can’t wait to try a recipe!

Finally got my delivery of Japanese ingredients from the asian supermarket in the city.
