Lasagna

Today I made a lasagna. Now usually I have to make 2 separate ones. My hubby doesn't like cottage cheese and I just love it. So I only had to make one today since I forgot to buy cottage cheese. But I did get to sneak in some spinach into the sauce when he wasn't looking. I did forget to put the canned mushrooms in but it wont make to much of a difference.

What do you put in your lasagna? Do you use cottage cheese? Have you tried it with spinach? Do you have to make separate ones for different family members? Do your children eat lasagna?

It is a excellent way to get all kinds of vegetables into a picky persons diet. The way I do most of the vegies is shredding them. I shred the celery, carrots, then I chop the onions really fine, green peppers I cut as much as I can to keep them from being big chunks when you take a bite. You can add all kinds of things like spinach, mushrooms, different peppers, fresh tomatoes, garlic, cucumbers, herbs. I say if you cut it right and mix it in the sauce the flavors will be explosive in your mouth and picky eaters wont even notice.

Cold Drinks

Perhaps cold drinks are one of the finest inventions which Science has given to us. It can feel us better if it is taken in hot summer. Whenever we feel thirsty these we often go for a cold drink. Almost everyday I have at least one cold drink or even more that too in winter. In summer days I can't even count the number of times I take these. Sometimes with my parents and sometimes with my friends. Now can you tell me how often you take cold drinks?

Cookies

We have a wintry weekend on our hands and we were running out of fun things to do since it's so icy and cold outside. My daughter and I decided to make some homemade cookies and of course everyone has a favorite. She likes the plain sugar cookies with multi colored sprinkles on top, My favorite is Chocolate Chip and hubby loves Peanut Butter best of all.

So I took a basic Sugar Cookie recipe and made all 3 kinds and we even added some Chocolate Chips to the Peanut butter ones for a new twist! That seems to be a new Favorite of both my daughter and hubby!!

So what's your favorite kind of cookie? Homemade or Store bought?

Learn.com is the worldwide leader in workforce development and productivity

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Learn dot com. All opinions are 100% mine.

I'm not saying this suits everyone, I have the advantage of speaking the language fluently, already having the paperwork 'I lived here before' and having a readymade network of contacts through my friends and my boyfriend. This makes it easier. The real advice though is take the plunge. I knew that the job I was working in was not what I wanted. I also knew I would eventually move to United States to be with my boyfriend. So, frustrated by the recession and driven to distraction by my boring number crunching job, I moved here with the intention of teaching English lessons to tide me over while I looked for something else.

I applied everywhere: Marketing, PR, Sales... but got nowhere. Then, out of the blue, I got a phone call about a CV I had placed online...

I have always wanted to be in communications and to organise events. But event planning is really hard to get into. So imagine my surprise when they said they were a wedding planning company looking to offer services to English speaking couples looking to marry in United States!

I now have my dream job as a wedding planner and marketing manager for a new brand, and live on the United States. If that's not a dream, I don't know what is.

I’ve recently checked out this site about Elearning. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for! It’s inexpensive and has all the classes I would want to take. I was impressed with the opportunities it presented to those of us who are always looking for ways to add to our skill portfolio. Learn.com is at the forefront of on-demand workforce development and productivity and the founder of the world wide knowledge exchange, with more than 50 million end users around the globe Learn.com has been making individuals and corporations smarter, faster and stronger for over a decade.

I decided to stop being lazy

I decided to stop being lazy. Of course it's tough when you first start out, but after time you learn to cope. It's only been a month of working out everyday, and already I feel more lively and I noticed my abs getting toned and my arms as well. I can't wait to see further progress.

I'm on the South Beach Diet

I'm on the South Beach Diet, which really doesn't feel like a diet. It simply taught me the correct way to eat, and that I don't need to be dependent on pasta, breads, candy, desserts and other starchy, fattening foods.

Healthy food is actually very delicious, and I enjoy my meals a lot more than I did when I would eat a plate of spaghetti with bread sticks.

Don't restrict yourself in a way that makes you want to cheat, but don't indulge in more than the serving size of a fattening food.

Fresh and Healthy Fish is Very Good for Your Diet and Your Body.

I can't say enough about this Tasty Delight in the Can. I have been having Canned Tuna for over 30 Years. I just Add some Light or Fat Free Mayoniase and Sometimes Celery. You got a Yummy Meal for Lunch or even Dinner. You can even Buy some Items in the Supermarket to Liven Up the Tuna. I Buy the Solid White or Chunk White in the Can as Bumble Bee, Starkist or the Store Brand I Find to have the Best Taste. Since the Major Brands have Decreased the Tuna Content from around 5 1/4 Ounces to just 5 Ounces the Store Brand still Offers 6 Ounces at a Fine Price. The Store Brand Taste Great to. When on Sale it is Even Better. I Buy The Sandwhich Wrap, Hero or Roll and Bagel Plain or Flavored. The Tastier The Bread Adds a Nicer Taste to the Tuna. I Prefer Tuna in Water and I Drain the Water and the Added Salt and Eating Canned Tuna is Healthy.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of henderson bas. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am not naturally a gamer. While I'm playing I think of things in the real world I could be doing instead and I'm not complaining, I'm glad I'm like this as I tend to have an addictive personality. But my new brother plays a certain game a lot, and it's awesome, and he really enjoys it. And he wants to share it with me. He's a great guy, and doesn't ask for much. Among all the sports out there, foot ball is his favorite! And if you love football, listen up because you might be the lucky winner to Bistro Crustini's contest where you could win a trip for two to Vegas all expenses paid!:)

So what’s a Crustini? Sounds almost like a Crostini (Italian crispy bread), but not quite. A Crustini is a microwaveable sandwich that can be eaten in one hand – it’s meaty, cheesy filling is wrapped with bread and comes in 11 varieties. Designed with football fans in mind, it’s designed so you can eat it with one hand, while remote clicking with the other!

Nestle/Bistro Crustini is sponsoring a Game Day contest that is open to Canadians who’d like a chance to win a prize package to the Superbowl in Las Vegas. To increase your chances of winning, you could buy yourself some delicious Bistro Crustini products with specially marked UPC codes on them and use them as an additional entry to the contest. Did I tell you that the first prize includes four days, and four nights stay at a deluxe hotel and a - $1,500 pocket money to be used to shop around Las Vegas in a Chauffeured limousine? This couldn't be much cooler.

However, if you are not lucky enough to win the grand prize, there are also consolation prizes like Home Theatre Systems and a digital camera as weekly prizes.

Don't buy something just because it's on sale.

Ask yourself "Would I buy this outfit at full price?" Be wary of trendy of-the-moment pieces. There's a different between items so trendy they're out of style before the season's end and quirkier pieces with character that will be back in style every few years. Ever wonder why black suits and cashmere turtlenecks never go on sale? It's because they're classics that always stay in style. Many lower-priced retailer carry these items at regularly marked-down prices, but be cautious. Low prices may they've skimped on fabric, sizing and sewing. A great pair of shoes or a bag can make even the simplest and most inexpensive outfit look chic. Well-made accessories in classics shapes and styles can last a lifetime. Cheap gold earrings will always look like, well cheap gold earrings. Any suggestions, comments or reactions send here!

I Quit Drinking Soda

I have tried several times to quit drinking coke. Every time I end up going back. The longest I have gone without a coke is 1 year. I really want to quit so bad but then I get nauseated or I get a headache and it is all I can think about it. There is something about going to the gas station to get a fountain coke. I am 15-20 lbs overweight. I really want to quit coke in the hopes I will shed a few of these lbs and not look so bloated.

vanilla ice cream with adsuki

Have you ever tried a flavor, or maybe just a brand of ice cream that was awful?
When I was a kid my mom and I visited family in Japan almost every year.
I remember one time we went in the spring/summer, and we went out to get ice cream from a nearby convenience store. We picked out a couple individual, pre-cupped containers of vanilla and adsuki (sweet, red bean) ice cream. I thought it was AWFUL. The ice cream tasted ok, but the adsuki in it just ruined it for me- the combination of both almost made me gag, but everyone else seemed to like it.
